Louis Podel
Mr.
Podel earned his B.A. from Temple University in 1973 and received
his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law in 1976 where he
was
on the editorial staff of the Law review and graduated cum laude.
Since 1981 Mr. Podel has dedicated his practice to major personal injury
litigation.
He was partner at the Center City law firm of Wapner Newman and associates
for 16 years until 1997 when he opened up his own practice.
Mr. Podel
is a member of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association,
the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar
Association, The Philadelphia Bar Association, the Association of
Trial Lawyers
of America, the American Trial Lawyers association of New Jersey
and the Burlington county Bar association. He is also on the board
of directors
of the Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society and a member of the very exclusive
Million Dollar advocates forum.
In addition to being
a successful litigator, Mr. Podel has lectured
extensively in the field of civil litigation concentrating on trial
tactics, emergency room negligence, ethics and medical malpractice
and product
liability issues. He has been featured in the “Case of the Month
Program” of the Philadelphia trial lawyers association and has several
published articles. Moreover, he has consulted with attorneys on cases
across the country in medical malpractice and product liability cases.
Trusted by his colleagues, Mr. Podel also acts in the dispute resolution
arena as a mediator or arbitrator for his fellow attorneys.
Hara Podel, Associate
Hara
is the newest associate at the Law Offices of Louis Podel and a member
of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars. She is also the daughter
of Mr. Podel and works closely with him on all aspects of his personal
injury practice. In addition, she is educated in areas of business
law
and securities litigation.
Hara received her
M.B.A. from Villanova University’s College of
Commerce and Finance and her J.D. from Villanova University School
of Law in 2004 in a dual degree program that she completed in only
three years. Prior to that, she received B.S in Business Administration
from
the University of Florida in 2001. Hara is also a member of the American
Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Brandeis
Law
Society.
During her time in
law school, Hara served as a legal intern for the Honorable Richard
B. Klein of the Pennsylvania Superior Court
where
she
completed detailed legal research, attended appellate court hearings,
and assisted in drafting legal opinions. Hara was also selected
to be part of the exclusive Summer Honors Program at the Philadelphia
District office of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
Here,
she performed comprehensive financial analyses and wrote memorandum
focusing
on accounting fraud, insider trading, and corporate mismanagement
while working closely with many accomplished attorneys.
Margie Angeloni, Paralegal
Margie Angeloni is
a graduate of the Philadelphia Institute for Paralegal Training and is
a Certified Paralegal. She has over 20 years of legal experience
in the field of personal injury litigation and has been employed by our
firm since its inception in 1997.
As a paralegal, Margie
is involved in almost every aspect of the file from the onset of a claim
through its
conclusion. As a result, she is actively
involved with all clients and enjoys this constant interaction.
